Writer, Director, Executive Producer of a Canada Council for the Arts funded immersive film selected for the Venice Biennale College Cinema Immersive program.
The Sound of One Eye Closing is a film for virtual reality following the story of Cory, a protagonist whose heartbreak splits her world in two— literally. The 360-degree frame of the film divides into two, with one half showing Cory in her grief, and the other her subconscious mind, where she is fixated on her ex. By using 360-video as an essential storytelling element, The Sound of One Eye Closing reveals new narrative possibilities for immersive media.
The project pitch was selected for the Venice Biennale College Cinema Immersive program, and received Canada Council for the Arts Concept to Realization funding. It is currently in production, based in Vancouver.
